East Central Missouri | The reason to form a LLC is to "try" to protect yourself from liability. They (LLC's) can be pierced, usually easily. As for as landowners, most are thick pieces of paper(trusts) controlled by some of the nicest people in my community. Depending on the assets involved, you may want to form a trust but by and large, it is most likely to late for your Mom to set up a trust. With what limited information you've given, I would agree with your sister for now and make changes when title to land changes. | |
