Border collie- would not hurt anyone,  kids could do what they liked with her, no worries.

On the farm we'd been warned of 'sus' guys in a ute with a trailer doing the rounds, if you weren't home, things might go missing!

They turned up, I went out to meet them, dog by my side.

Her hackles went up, and a growl I'd never heard before came from deep in her throat.

Guy  - just out of the door of their ute - asked "does that dog bite?"

I said "She might!"

He got back into the ute, and they cleared off - never saw them again.

??How did she know !!!
