I used to just go walk into the IRS office but I don't know if they do that anymore. Maybe with an appointment made ahead of time.
I just use expresstrucktax.com now.
I DONT go to the IRS anymore. (dont mail my 2290 either) You need an appointment now here at our closest office now.... and go through the strip down and tak off your r redwing boots/ empty your pockets and take off your belt and pass a metal detector test first. YOU should see what kind of a big deal they made about my BARLOW jack knife as I'm standing in socks holding my pants up while they are gloating over my jack knife in a tray at the IRS place.... I'm sure glad I though ahead enough to have left my concealed weapon out in the pickup down the street away from the office!
