Feb USDA Outlook Forum vs March Prospective Plantings History for Corn

The prospective plantings has came in higher than the USDA outlook forum the past 7 of 11 years.

The biggest difference where the plantings came in higher was 2016. Coming in 3.6 million higher.

The prospective plantings has came in lower just 3 of the past 11 years. However 2 of those 3 have came in the past 3 years alone. In 2022, 2021 and 2018.

The biggest difference where the planting came in lower was 2022. Coming in 2.5 million lower.

They came in at the same number just once in 2017.
