The Air Force yard where they put planes to store or take parts off is by Tucson. If you were to walk the perimeter fence. You would walk 11 miles. The dirt, rock soil there is that if you park a 300,000 pound airplane, come back 3 years later, it has not sunk in at all.
I've been by there a couple of times since my wife's Grandma lived close by. Pretty cool to look at for sure.
