Even if it's a dumb idea to upset the farmers it's supposed to help doesn't mean it's a fairytale. There are literally gas deposits everywhere across the globe. Gases trap within the earth are common. You know where the idea for soda comes from? Seltzer water. Seltzer springs are common in Europe. Naturally carbonated.
99.99% of all the earths carbon exists in the crust.
