At 6am it's 23 degrees here according to my thermometer.  More importantly I still haven't received moisture to incorporate the herbicide with the nitrogen on my wheaties.. since I've top dressed 6 weeks ago.. beginning February  9th.

The first freeze scare.. although some has been jointing now for a week or two.. is less concerning to me than the droughty conditions.

As it's started to grow.. the emergence in the talcum powder spots is peach fuzz at best.. although somewhat better now then when the picture below was taken..there will be gaps in my stands.. probably.. 90%+ emerged.. if I can get my herbicide activated to hold out the weeds.. that would help but.. pretty mulch zilch since applied.
