Subject: RE: Dog health problem, maybe cancer ?

Central Indiana
Had a dog that had cancer growth on front paw and vet cut it out and wrapped it well with the typical gauze and then some really good tape. He never really messed with wrap after a day or so just would lick it occasionally. I’d say it stayed on for about a week before coming off and then was just told to keep an eye on it make sure it didn’t become infected or swollen. Lived for probably close to 6 or 7 years after that. Died at 17 years old when I was 18. I’d say if you get it amputated have them wrap it really well and let your dog go about its life. If it wants to be up and about the dog will most likely just carry that leg until it quits hurting. They are good about knowing what not to do when it comes to injuries and pain
