What does a "hipper" and "killefer" do?
Killefer was a company in California that made heavy tillage equipment.
Deere bought them up to get a instant heavy tillage division.
Allis did the same with Oxnard.
IH had a heavy tillage division at Stockton, but I'll have to ask my Cali buddy if they were an independent company prior. Same question with Case's Globe Disk division. |
