mercer county, il		I’ve seen arguments made for both, some say hyd oil won’t suspend metal like a gear oil will.

There was a service bulletin out about this, recommending 80w90 in all but the pumped differentials (9300 and later rears and quads)

For what it’s worth, I run 75w90 synthetic in my 9150 with inboard plantaries, and 9180 with outboards.

Do not use 75w140, it will overheat during reading.
