S IL | The Macau casino/hotels are more luxury focused than Vegas and casino floors larger catering more to the gambler versus entertainment. I could live in Macau plus the weather was perfect. Mainland China was just on the other side of large walls nearby and there were large hi rises being built on both sides. Hong Kong is more business oriented and had a more urban feel like a modern cleaner version of NYC or SF. Everyone clean and respectful, perhaps more 'honorable' than the average urbanite here. People more 'serious' about life. Same with the Philippines except that country got left behind and has a corrupt government. Everyone talks about it but it's a helpless feeling because people just trying to survive. Yet even in Philippines people are happy, more moral, more Godly, and have more personal pride than Americans on average. I've been to Philippines 5 times now and the people are wonderful and I miss it when I return home, but it's 3rd world and I wouldn't live there.
My Filipino gf worked in Macau for 5 years and got out of there when the pandemic calmed down so I could visit in Philippines. We had a big vacation returning to China to have many happy reunions with her friends. Foreign workers make much more money than staying in the Philippines. Plus Philippine business usually have age restrictions often with age 30 max. She was a housekeeper and nanny for a middle class Chinese family. She grew up on a coconut farm plus had rice, corn, and some crazy fruits plus livestock. It's like going back into time similar to how your parents or grandparents grew up on a farm. Kill a chicken and have it for dinner. Kill a pig and roast it for celebrations.
It's a big world out there, single men need to realize it. Plus, she would be a 9.5 here in the states. That's a whole new subject. | |
