SW WI
I said this about 10 years ago, after a string of nice years …..when does the business model flip back? Integrators, their CEO, or board saying “what the hell are we doing with this losing division of owning hogs, let’s streamline and maximize what makes us, money….turning hogs into pork, not raising hogs, that’s for the peasant farmers”

Supply a concern ?…..just contract with the huge farmer owned sow farms. At breakeven…..you’ll have groups knocking down your door to sign that contract, just to avoid catastrophic losses that they fear. Dump
your losses, let farmers burn their equity on production, labor and barns.

As far as paid for land or barns supporting your hog addiction….ummm, that’s equity that you’re burning. I drew the line in the sand and said “My wife and I worked to hard for ours, I’m not giving that to you….cash me out”

Hope is not a marketing plan
