Subject: Any one deal with a “Pinguecula” in your eye, or “Farmer’s Eye”?

East Central Georgia
Have been diagnosed with a Pinguecula in each eye. The one has been inflamed in the past (after flying) and the eye doc got me some steroid drops and it cleared the inflammation up right fast. Still got the bump in the white of the eye on both eyes tho and I think that’s what makes my eyes feel dry allot. Just curious if anyone on here has dealt or deals with this. Seems like lubricating eye drops just make them feel worse a hour or two later. Lately just drop the steroid in before bed seems to work the best. Doesn’t seem like a good idea long term tho. The only fix for them is surgery I’m told since they won’t shrink. Kinda balk at eye surgery at 25 years old but maybe someone on here has experience?
