SW Minnesota | Is the shaft profile on a JD 693 corn head a proprietary profile or are there other brands that use it. I just need to make it 5" longer. The parts website says it is supposed to be 33" long collapsed but both of mine are under 28" long. It is only a problem on one side. From John Deere they are over a $1000 each. It worked fine with my 9510 but won't work with my 9670. Is there some place I could buy the inner shaft and a yoke attached.
