Sw mn | So if you aren’t going to pass on $300 a head profit why not sell them now?? What’s the point of fattening them out when all the profit is baked in at 850#.
I have been running numbers and I might be empty by Mother’s Day. Will have one heck of a feed pile left over but I could feed it to the next opportunity to show.
The LRP subsidy is only $3 per hundred from what I have seen, $24 on an 800 lb calf. While nice it’s not a great prize and leaves you tied up in marketing decisions. | |
