SC Wisconsin | Went back to look at a birthdate on a steer in my notebook where I record tag numbers, birthdate, dairy it came from and price. Got some that will leave in June that I paid $150 for as new borns. Last group I filled this winter I thought I did really well averaged right around $300. Next fill will be in June, if things don't come back to reality I might be able to get a lot of summer projects done with no calves to feed. $150 meant it took 12.6k to fill. At $500 calves it'll take 42k to fill hutches. No thanks. | |
