When I graduated from high school ('69) girls IN played 6 on 6. Two players on each team never crossed the centerline so offense was 4 on 4. . I didn't play basketball after my freshman year, rather be doing something on the farm. At that time there were still some hs gyms that had 2 centerline, we called them " railroad tracks". Bringing ball down court you had 10 sec to get the ball across the farthest line. Once ball was across that line the back line became the center line, if ball crossed that line it was ah "over & back".
I remember in IA, there were 3 guards and 3 forwards on each half of the court, only 2 dribbles allowed and players had to stay on one side of the court |
