Subject: RE: For quick relief indomethacin

Have had occasional gout flare ups but the daily allopurinol dose a great job of preventing attacks .

Indomethacin does a quick job of relieving the pain but doc warned that it’s hard on the kidneys and stomach . I find it makes me dizzy and stomach feels like someone punched me . However the foot feels better .

Used to have a colchicine prescription but I found it took days to get the relief that indomethacin gives in an hour . Colchicine gave me the runs extremely bad where you didn’t dare to sneeze or cough unless sitting on the flush . A gout attack with colchicine meant a couple days on the couch followed by a couple days on the flush . Would lose 15 lbs in that time and the runs so bad you didn’t pee for a couple days because everything exited out the back door .
