If you don't like unibody construction, it might be well to remember that body on frame comes with its own set of problems: extra weight, extra cost, squeaks and rattles. body settling as the insulators compress, minimal torsional stability, and more longitudinal flex than necessary. Remember; Ford introduced a unibody pickup in 1962. It flopped badly and most were recalled because the frame would sag enough to keep the doors from opening when a load was placed in the bed. Didn't take much weight either. Unibody isn't a bad thing if it is done right but Ford tried to adapt the idea to an existing design instead of clean-sheeting it. Reminds me a lot of the Boeing 737 Max fiasco. 
Here is a picture of the Ford pickup flop. Notice there is no separation of the box from the cab and the frame wasn't up to the task of keeping the doors from binding when carrying even a small load.
