north central iowa | Nasal vaccines produce surface IgA antibodies. These antibodies by nature give you a quicker immune response but don't give long-lasting immunity like an injectable vaccine. After saying all that, for what calves are worth today I would not skimp on vaccine cost. I would still go with the vaccine that gives me the broadest protection. The nasal vaccines buy you time to still provide protection even in the presence of maternal antibodies. Pmh-3 would be my choice giving your past history.
