Subject: Why hide where you are when you're a company?

East central Iowa

So many companies that sell products online have no address.  No information as to their location or it's buried so deeply on their web site it's almost impossible to find.  Sometimes it makes no difference where they are but other times for other products it does.

Recently I saw an ad for lumber, looked like they were well equipped and had large inventory.  I have no desire to buy lumber sight unseen or have it shipped.  That means it has to be within a reasonable (to me) distance, someplace I can drive to, look at, buy and take home.

It turned out the place was within driving distance but why not put your city, state and address out there along with all the bs? ( we've been in business X years, rated A+, family run, etc.)
