Subject: RE: USDA surveys

Northern Nebraska
You know darn well the surveys are generic and go to landnowners and farmers of all types. Some maybe in the program some aren't. They are getting information for better USDA reports.

If you don't want to fill out a survey don't those are optional but do effect the markets for almost every crop in America. A census of ag is a legal census just like the population census and must be filled out or they could fine you or put you in jail.

While I believe the USDA massages the numbers to no create panics on food supplies for the most part they put out decent enough numbers. Definitely biased but it's as good as we have

You don't fill out irrigation permits with the Nrcs that would be a state or local entity. If you bitch about the government bitch about the right one.
