Texas | I have a cow who had her 3rd calf sometime in the last 24 hours. I tagged and banded it earlier today. She was having trouble walking. I’m guessing a hard birth because the calf was mega big, like his hoofs the size of my fist and I’m a 300+ guy and it was pretty tough for me to get him banded. Anyways she licked my forehead the whole time I struggled with him while she stood there staggering around. For a minute I thought dang I hope she doesn’t fall on me! Once I finished she took him to the trees to hide from me and she was walking descent.
Just a hard birth or anything to watch for? Calf was well taken care of looks like and I saw him nurse when I let him up from working him. | |
