Subject: Ez Guide Field IQ options

Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass
I’m currently set up with Ez-Steer/Guide 500s in my planter and sprayer.

Sprayer has ezboom. Planter currently has no row clutches.

Looking at a new planter option that has Tru-Count clutches on each row and is listed as having Field IQ modules mounted on the hitch. Had been run by a FMX that isn’t selling with the planter.

Looks like there’s a path that I could source the obscure cable kit to hook a field IQ switch box into the to run to the module on the planter.

If I’m thinking right, can I just get another ezboom and run the trucount clutches directly from there?

Which is the easier/better option? (Probably to get a fmx…) but of the 2.

Will the Ez Guide (or fmx if I do switch) show and monitor population or would I still need another monitor for that?

Unrelated question, but do we feel like the TruCount air clutches are a reliable option?
