I’m guessing that a quarter mile wide fire break wouldn’t be wide enough when the 60 plus mph winds get the embers flying. The news showed it jumping a 4 lane highway like it wasn’t even there. Not really much they can do
Yup, maybe need a mile or even more.
Badger hole fire that was in Tmrand and my area, not only jumped half miles of growing green wheat. It killed the wheat and burned it up too.
Somewhere in there, need to have the guts to back burn along with firebreaks.
