Most of the “burner” herbicides work. Aim, Rely (liberty), gramoxone. 2 4 D is also used, Sabre and Orchardmaster are labeled for sucker treatment. There’s a few new labels this year, I plan on trying one or 2.
A few trees, hand cutting is probably best.

Those may have a few nuts this year, the catkins look great. How do the blooms look? An issue with hazelnuts is often peak bloom and pollen release don’t match.

A bit of boron can help nut set.
