Really doubt it goes under $3.00 on board. When’s last time it was sub $3.00?

When I was going to College in 1986.. I remember cash corn in Iowa trading below a dollar.

fun times.

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in the 1999-2001 time frame cash corn in Iowa was really close to $1 one of those falls.

There were some huge LDP $'s had by guys that were chopping corn silage.     By the time grain harvest started the price had rebounded a fair amount and the LDP was considerably less.

As for sub $3 on the board, it didn't quite get under $3 in 2020 but it got really close.    I believe $3.09 was the low.

In terms of paying the bills, $3 now probably isn't a whole lot different than $1 was 25 years ago.
