Sorry for the late reply. Got busy and forgot to check back here. We like to go out about now with atz/dicamba. Seems if we can get the first flush knocked out we don't have a lot more trouble with kochia. This year there is major kochia up already, at least in ditches, etc. But no rain to activate chems.
Where we've sprayed Valor preemerge in the past, it seems weak on kochia preemerge. That said, I was out yesterday with 3 oz Valor, 12 oz dicamba, 6 oz lv6 and half gallon Boost. Going to wheat this fall so want to go easy on the atrazine. Gonna see how that turns out.
In my previous post I mentioned atz/dicamba smoking little kochia. This was sprayed in March when they had just emerged and then we got a rain to get the chem in the root zone. Just about missed those! | |
