Subject: Planning pattern following marker.

East central Iowa
Years ago my Dad had some aerial photos taken of his corn fields in August.
Every field plant on the corner on B to D slopes had an 8 row pattern. Planter was 4-38s.

We checked markers from center, all fine.
He always sat straight up in seat. Made cultivating difficult because ever round you would have to watch to not take out the next row.

So the next year came still the perfect 8 row pattern.
Space was about 45" on one side of the 8 and 20" other side.
So 3rd year comes, I was getting planter ready and
moved the one marker in about 3" and the other out 3" because I knew how he always started planting around the field.

He laughed when I told him what I did that summer.

Had photos taken that summer, looked great.
