When you hedge you will give them liquidity to lift their speculative position. They want to get long but they realize if they lifted their entire position all at once it would send the market drastically higher thereby reducing their gains as they lift their positions. Like a pump and dump in the stock market, the smart money gets in on it early and needs the suckers to hold the bag so they can exit.
They want to get long but afraid to do it because it would send the market too high too fast. Hmmmm. Really?
Does that make sense to you?
The shorts remain short because they aren’t scared of being short yet. IMO
They have been winning because they are lucky guessers
And there is more of them than those who guessed the opposite way!
