I buy some corn seed from a legend dealer and this was the variety he recommended. He said it’s the best bang for the buck.
Seeding some alfalfa down this year and it will be MP 1000 croplan. I buy the rest of my corn seed from the coop and he recommended this brand for our soils… also comes with a replant guarantee. The croplan corn has been the best year after year so I see no reason the alfalfa won’t be the same. There was another variety he recommended but it didn’t come with a replant policy.
I think buy far the largest is dairyland. When Jung’s was bigger they had some varieties too.
In my opinion you should be talking to someone locally about what works best. Climate and soil makes a big difference…. |
