| I’m trying to guess what alfalfa yields on first cutting haylage. Our nutritionist would like us to put up some first cutting haylage to feed to our cows. On a 4 cutting system what would you guess a first cutting will yield per acre? Trying to guage how many acres we would need to go after. We are in NE colorado. Alfalfa is all irrigated here. Assume 65% moisture coming off the feild.
