We have near 50k bushel of corn still standing and will have storage freed up by time we can get it off. Store for a while? Sell off combine and re-own? Basis is -$.65 was as low as -$.95. Carry isn’t worth it but selling at these lows seems like throwing in the towel. Lot can happen in a few months.


The opportunity around here has been in basis improvement. If we do get any kind of bump in price I'm pretty certain that basis will worsen at the same time. We've been moving the physical corn to capture that basis since the flat price guys haven't been doing as much lines are pretty small.

Only 1 outdoor pile in the county left intact that I know of, elevators have been picking them up since grower flow has been lower. There have been some nice push offers......


Basis off the March? It expires very soon.
