Bull calves=dry
Heifer calves=wet
The premise is that more heifer calves means more potential mommas and more calves thus expanding the herd. That requires moisture to grow the feed for the enlarged herd. So whether it’s coincidence or planning by Mother Nature is anyone’s guess.
