High prices cure high prices. The $8 corn a decade ago put the lid on price for years after. The $5.75 spike in ‘95-96 put a lid on things for years. This will be no different and will be a process, not an event. Barring a real weather problem, would not surprise me at all if the corn market spent a significant time $3.80-4.40, with seasonal spikes above that range.
