I used to work for a company that installed flex augers. Dry won't be an issue. A HMC flex auger is basically just a smaller auger in a larger tube like you were planning. Really wouldn't need it for dry distillers but would work. If you use same size auger as tube less flow back but also limits what product you can run. The only issue you may have is fall back depending how much of an incline it will be installed with. Distillers is very fine and will have 0 more fall back than regular grain. If not a long incline or not steep not an issue. Just don't go steeper than 45 degree angle.
