| We have the same issue with our yearling bulls. If they are rubbing spots bare, I’d hit them with a good delousing powder. If they are just rubbing to rub (as cattle do) you could try giving them something to rub on. The most ideal thing would be to mount an old cow brush on a post in the middle of the pen (if you have dairies in the area they might have some). Otherwise you can really throw anything out there that won’t hurt them and can stand up to the beating (old feed wagon, etc.). They’re gonna rub not matter what so I’d try to give them something to rub on instead of the fence. | |
