Universities and extension has taught that a bigger number or a lower number for a particular trait is better. That is not always the case. Most producers don't have the resources for the genetic capabilities to be expressed. For instance, YW. Then after you bought that high YW bull, 5 or 6 years later, none of his daughters are still in production because they came up open.
