Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I know nothing about your tractor but the terminator suggestions makes sense to me. The terminators are typically located at the far "ends" of a string of CAN devices.

Many times the display is one "end" and the most distant node or module is the other "end". The terminator is often a branch off the last device.

I have setup some CAN strings of devices where the display was on one "end" but the CAN connectors split and one branch lead one way and the other branch lead another way. One of these was were some CAN devices which were out the side of a tractor to a spray module but another branch went out the back to some modules on a pull-type implement. Putting the terminator at the far "end" of the longest branch seemed to work. Then again I may have just gotten lucky.

Putting a terminator on both of those branches probably would not work since the internal resistors in a terminator are then in parallel which would reduce the equivalent resistance.
