Eastern NE KS | Somewhat interesting and disappointing my current vet knows nothing of this procedure. My now deceased previous vet operated on a yearling popeye heifer at calfhood vax time. It took maybe 30-60 seconds. (For a few wonderful years I had access to both vets knowledge.)
The heifer is now 8 years old and a reliable, productive matron of the cow herd. My only accomodation is I always offer noise starting from where she clearly sees me as I move to her blind side to haze her toward my objective. She always knows where I stand without trying to look with her good eye. | |
