Jon, I agree with you wanting 1/2" strap x 4" at least. Bolt size would depend on holes close to work with or minimum of 5/8". Tbeck, I'll try and have son pull mounts out of box for a new install we are working on. They should have sent mounts for our F-250 V-10. Thinking it's a 2007', not sure on year. It's on the list to do this week.

Myself I would want to pull bed down as close to frame as I can. My Chevy we only spaced at 1" at closest part of frame to bed to keep bed lower. If I recall we used 1" solid square shaft for spacer. Then rectangular tubing in the wider gaps. The truck was a 08' Chevy 2500HD height was ok, until we rebuilt rear springs and added one leaf over stock. It jacked truck way up in rear. Then had to turn torsion bars up in front to level truck. After doing that, it's almost a little too high to reach core on 5x6 bale, if you have to release bale after unrolling most of it. Core would quit rolling when down to last of core.
