Subject: RE: Winter protection

This winter I amputated part of a finger.

It has really been sensitive to the cold when it’s under -20f or so. I always just wore a pair of lined leather gloves or super green kings and got along fine. I finally caved and am now wearing a pair of Watson snowmobile mitts when it’s colder out.

They have a fleece five finger glove sewn inside the mitt. They’re windproof, nearly waterproof and fairly resistant to dealing with barb wire due to some nylon wear patches in the palm and thumb area.

They’re not as good of dexterity as a glove but they’re 10X warmer.
