In regards to wet distillers or gluten, the narrow bays allow you to pile it up with the payloader. Less surface area to spoil. It will crust over or you can add salt on top. Keeps the wet feed fresh longer.
Very true. I took apart a Lego block bunker and rebuilt it narrower. Wet ddgs kept a lot better in hot weather after that.
