south central WI | We have 2 bunkers we use to store hmc. On is 38' wide, the other 48', both around 104' long. We fill them to around 12' high and that's usually 90-95k bushels roughly We figure. You can figure out size based on how deep or long you want it. I wouldn't go shorter than 100' if using for a full year. Narrow and tall is probably better so there's less to to potentially spoil, but if done correctly there should be almost no spoilage (just small areas for some random reason). | |
