west central ohio | The last time I had a New Holland C232 throw the ATS fail code, it required the dealer to do a reset with the laptop. I would look for a wire or connection bad. The time that I set that code, I had the connector unplugged going to the aftertreatment module, and accidentally turned on the key. As soon as the ECM saw no data from the aftertreatment module, it went directly into limp mode. They basically hold you hostage after that point. My local CNH dealer basically got pissy with me for trying to do my own repairs. Didnt want to print out the codes for me, and didnt want to tell me the meaning of any of the codes. I put one back in them in the end, as I fixed the problem myself, after the reset. Now I wont do any service business with them EVER! Edit: that 4 cyl engine vibrates so hard at idle, I would check all the wires/connectors that are running on top of the engine.
