western iowa,by Denison | no it doesnt hurt if there is snow in the bunk,I would sure like it simple like the no bunk guys,but feel that with only 3000 ft of bunk I might be better off managing the pen condtions and etc-I do scoop if I think it needs it-we usually run slick bunks and feed twice a day
we use are feed alleys for hauling manure and pushing snow,some bunk lines have water standing next to the bunk line after a rain storm so I feel for the little bit the bunk cost it pays to have a bunk and not just a floor .
Usually things work out ,biggest thing is to get them feed in weather like this | |
