Eastern SD | Im building an accelerated polypay flock. Keeping back a lot of ewe lambs to grow the flock but have extra room in my group that just finished lambing. Going to breed again in march for august lambs. Thinking of buying some open short term type ewes to run with this group for 1 or 2 lambings until i get more ewe lambs up to speed. Is this asking for a disaster? Would i bring in more bugs and diseases than itd be worth? Is it possible to find open ewes this time of year? | |
