Subject: RE: Greenstar vs trimble guidance lines

NC Iowa
Last year spraying with a pull type sprayer, we have a Trimble 750 that steers the tractor (JD 8130) on the free signal. And I added a Gs2 2600 screen to the raven spray control to map the spray applications. I had this hooked to a John Deere ITC globe. So I essentially had Trimble and John Deere systems running right beside each other. Spraying beans behind the planter, driving on planter tracks planted with a John Deere 6000 globe on SF3. I noticed that the John Deere 2600 with ITC was more accurate with less drift than the Trimble when I was manually driving the planter tracks.

Long story short it may depend on the accuracy your Trimble was keeping. It could also be my ITC had better terrain compensation than the Trimble nav II.
