Hooker Twp,Ne | Went to ortho doc today. My daughter does WC for an ins company. She told me there are basicly two good ortho docs in nebr. One in Lincoln and the other in Omaha. I luckily got into the one in Lincoln today. He said what happens is as we get older quite often neuropathy sets in. Then we fracture a bone and don’t feel it Then another so forth. Blood pools as that happens and as it does that our bones turn somewhat mushy. Like termites in a piece of wood . So then there is no place to attach a screw. Only way to fix it is to get a boot that especially fit for one’s foot. Then doing one best can to stay off the foot and let heal. At least this is for my injury. Said this should take 8-12 weeks. So I get to spend the rest of winter with my foot up in the air and watching tv. Sure glad both of my kids live close to me otherwise I would go hungry. Other problem is if dad does something he probably shouldn’t he get scolded. | |
