Southeast Colorado | To be fair..........he acquired most of the land while his Dad was still alive. He took this project on himself............but pretty sure the folks loaning the money knew there was a also pretty good back stop if he faltered.
I know of some situations where the land itself has had some goofy things done that couldn't have been real profitable.
But really...........who's to say what would float your boat as a Billionaire? And if he wasn't out recklessly blowing some of his money then there would eventually be none of the pieces left for any of the rest of us to pick up.
I do know that his cockiness, when it comes to first outbidding everyone and then saying he wants to work with those same people, has for sure rubbed many locals the wrong way. I guess we'll see how his system works out. I've got a funny feeling that he'd move on from it pretty fast if he ever faced a lot of adversity. Just a gut feeling on that.
